The Aging of Sensibilium.

Older but wiser. Well, that's what they say.

We are taught that content is king

All news pages were written in the past, hence any references to the present are in fact in the past.

Beginning the new year in style, in January of 2002 we worked hard to steal the last bits of Legions now dead site over here, starting with 'The AOL Syndrome' and followed later by his multiple articled How to Surf the Net. And whilst in a frenzy of re-coding the entire site, Nolef fucked up and access was lost for the rest of the month.

Luckily, by the time February of 2002 came along, Nolef had begun to bring the sections back to life, the forum returning first, quickly followed by our links section, then Gumbo, and then this very About section. A few weeks later the Writings section was up and running once more (much to ours and many visitors relief). Another Miscellanea Sensibilium article was added a little later, to much fanfare, as it was written by a new contributor of the time, Tarjeib, and dealt with the much-vaunted discordian game of Sink. It was called SINK - a psycho-social interpretation, and it went down well with our visitors.

In March and April of 2002 we went Cthulhu crazy, adding a new category to our Links pages, which proved most popular. Legion released part five of the dark novel, The Baal Dialogues, called The Blade of Truth, and another new contributor, Horab, graced our pages with his first two articles, Leakyheads, and Dissolution of the Self. Ahdkaw also made a three-second image in reaction to the news about American priests that was being reported at the time (Reverend Ernie).

With Summer approaching fast, May and June of 2002, The Land of Thud forum was getting busy and complex, and Penfold decided to ease the confusion by creating a Map of the place, which was found useful for folks traversing between threads. It was also at this time that we decided to create this very layout and design you see before you now, and managed to make it look the same in all major standards-compliant browsers.

Summer had begun, but that didn't stop a number of updates in July and August of 2002 from occurring. We received two new books from our newest contributers, which included Ripples of Hollows Filled from Tarjeib, and The Discordian Manifesto from Horab. We also created a site map due to the increasing size of our site. Then, just as we were relaxing and not doing much, we were bitch-slapped into action by someone attacking our forum using a well known Snitz vulnerability, causing us to fix it within hours of the attack. Later, we added yet another article by Horab entitled, Ignorance, which was somewhat apt considering our previous ignorance to Snitz's weaknesses...

Autumn arrived sooner than we had wished, but this is probably due to the fact that Yorkshire generally doesn't have Summers, except for 1976 (Jeez, that was good summer), so September and October of 2002 saw Nolef programming more bits to our site, adding a search function to his Links pages after receiving many moanings of difficulty finding specific links within the categories, and enabled forum members to add new links. We created a lovely little favicon for our site, and although it doesn't work for us (XP IE6), it seems to work for other people. And finally we updated our Site Information page to give Nolef some more credit for all his hard work.
